Doug Crouch
For over 30 years, Doug has been studying the deepest questions of human transformation. Not as an academic exercise, but as a lived journey — through his own breakthroughs and breakdowns, his work with hundreds of clients, and his relentless pursuit of what actually creates lasting change.

The Journey
I didn't set out to become a life coach. I set out to understand myself — why I kept repeating patterns that didn't serve me, why insight alone never seemed to create lasting change, why some people seemed to move through life with ease while others (including me, for a long time) felt perpetually stuck.
That question sent me on a 30-year journey. I read voraciously — over a thousand books spanning psychology, neuroscience, philosophy, spirituality, and systems thinking. I trained with some of the world's leading practitioners. I attended retreats, workshops, and intensives. I did the work.
But the real education came through living it. Through my own marriages and relationships, my experiences in business, my moments of genuine breakthrough and genuine despair. I learned what actually works not from theory, but from the laboratory of my own life.
What I discovered changed everything: most of what we call "personal development" is surface-level symptom management. We learn to cope better, perform better, manage our emotions more effectively. But the underlying patterns remain untouched.
Real transformation happens at the root level — in the deep structures of how we see ourselves and the world. And it requires a very different kind of work: slower, deeper, and more honest than most people are used to.
The Three Vital Questions framework, developed by David Emerald, was a revelation when I encountered it. Here was a simple, elegant map that cut through the complexity and pointed directly at the root. I trained as a certified 3VQ practitioner and have since integrated it with everything else I've learned into what I now call Genius Coaching.
My work is not for everyone. It's for people who are ready to go deep, who are willing to question their most fundamental assumptions, who sense there is a bigger version of themselves waiting to emerge. If that's you, I'd love to talk.
The Path
The Seeker
From an early age, Doug was fascinated by why people do what they do. This curiosity led him on a lifelong journey of exploration across psychology, philosophy, and human potential.
The Student
Over two decades, Doug immersed himself in every modality he could find — reading over 1,000 books, training with masters, and most importantly, doing his own deep inner work.
Finding the Map
The discovery of the Three Vital Questions framework was a turning point. Finally, a practical, elegant system that cut through complexity and created real, lasting change.
The Guide
Today, Doug brings 30 years of study and practice to each client, helping high-performers and leaders unlock their innate genius and create lives of meaning and impact.
The Five Principles of Genius Coaching
These aren't just ideas — they're the foundation of every coaching conversation.
You Are the Creator
You are not a victim of your circumstances. You have the power to create the life you want, regardless of what has happened to you.
Nothing Is Broken
Every behaviour, pattern, and belief you have was once a solution to a problem. We work with what is, not against it.
The Body Holds the Key
Transformation doesn't happen in the mind alone. The body carries our history, and lasting change must be embodied, not just understood.
Integration Over Insight
Insight is just the beginning. Real change requires integrating new awareness into your daily life, your relationships, your work.
Your Genius Is Innate
You don't need to become someone else. Your genius is already present, waiting to be uncovered and expressed fully in the world.
